WELCOME REMARKS FROM THE DIRECTOR

Welcome to the McEachern Art Center! As the gallery director, my goal is to create a welcoming space that fosters community, growth, collaboration, and creativity in the arts. Situated both as a Mercer University facility and a downtown gallery, the MAC serves as a vital link between the school’s art department and the vibrant creative community growing in Macon.

Our two-floor facility boasts museum-quality exhibition spaces on the main floor and artist studios on the secondary level, providing students with a nurturing environment to develop their work and learn. What sets us apart is our support for artists; we don't take any commission cuts from their sales and actively fund exhibitions, ensuring they can focus on their creative endeavors.

In addition to supporting artists, we open our doors to local organizations, offering a venue for their annual events. We're excited to unveil new initiatives this year, inviting the community to become more engaged with the MAC. Our membership program offers exclusive experiences with artists, allowing members to contribute to the MAC's future growth. Furthermore, we're introducing sponsored shows and donorship opportunities to elevate our facilities to new heights.

MEMBERSHIP FEE

An annual membership will cost $60 and will entitle a patron to become a MAC insider with special pieces of art, exclusive events, and interaction with other artists.
